Akira

The teacher likes to give problems to me because I never can choose one thing without doubt for many time.
In this time I choose a movie called Akira. I have another favourites but I choose this because I loved before all of these.
Akira is a film I saw at the 15 years-old, I know another people saw it younger but well, I arrived some later.
This is an animation film, based on the manga (comic book) of Katsuhiro Otomo, and directed for himself, and the premiere was in 1988.
The story is in a future (2019), in the city of Neo-Tokyo; a war destructed it in the past and the situation is critical, with violence, oppression, drugs, terrorism, etc. The government experiments with children with mental powers like a tool of their purposes. The starrings are a band of young choppers like fight, drugs and drink. In a combat with another choppers one of they is found by militars and they discover he have a mental power and kidnap him to study him mind and found a way to combat to Akira, the most powered child that is freeze to control him but nobody knows when he wake up.
I like it because I love illustration and draw, and the draws of Katsuhiro Otomo are really gorgeous. Ok, it´s a fantastic history, but if you not interesting in it, anyway this is a great movie, because the animation is very very good make, the colors, the images, and a significant part; the music; this catch you for all the time.

Primus

It's very difficult to me (again) to choose a band or a musician I like, because are a lot of them.

I would can name very bands of many kinds of music, (for example Alice in Chains, Hole, La Floripondio, Victor Jara, Amy Winehouse, Anarkia Tropikal, Faith no More, en ever more) but i choose Primus because is an experience of madness I enjoy everytime and I would like share with you.

I knew this band because I ear to some friends speaking about it, but I download the discography for my own account. I began to listen it during an exam because I never can to follow the melodies or the lyrics and I can concentrate in the work with background music. That exam was wrong and Primus took a bad sensation to me.

But the time passed and I recovered the love by this band because I can´t understand all that madness inside the mind of three persons. I think if they don’t make music would be in an insane hospital. By luck they are musicians and give us all this happiness to live.

I don’t know very much of this band. Only they forming Primus in the 80’s and the history of Les Claypool (bass and leader) was to an audition to play bass with Metallica, but they reject to him because are “so much good” like said James Hetfield. I don’t know if this is a myth or reality but I think is funny.

I like very much the bass, it’s the essential part of the band, is the center of it. I like they crazy (I know I say it, but I think is very important) and the music they play is according to this.

My favorite songs are “Tommy the Cat”, “Welcome to this world”, “Hamburger Train” and others I don´t remember now.

I go to sharing with you “Hamburger Train” and I give you a bonus of insanity with a Mr. Bungle’s song, “Quote Unquote” (I don’t want to exclude they, I’m sorry).

Happy nightmares to this night.

A picture

It's too hard to me to choose a picture, I love so much the photos and images. The picture I upload was taken by me. The place it's a location of a short film I work the last year. It's an old bar at Franklin's town, it's called "Bar Chiloé", but the people of the place called it "Where Don Hernán" like its propietary. I like this place because there are a popular traditions that are dissapearing with the time. There are parts of our culture but the progress is murder all those. The bar Chiloé is a old house build with adobe, and is decor with antiques things like furnitures, pictures, machines (for example an old and big freezer) and also antique people that often go to drink (all the day and all days). This is not my favourite picture, but I choose it because reflects the soul of the place and the atmosphere that you can find if you go to there. There are a TV, a wurlitzer, old pictures,the color of the wall, the shape of the door (is own of adobe construction) and the sentence: "ask here for the delicious pipeño". It's some nostalgic, but it's too a piece of popular history. After to all, you can enjoy a visit to Bar Chiloe drinking the chicha and the pipeño and laughing with your friends. And taken so many photos.

A Place

I enjoyed so much a visit to a place near to my home. Here's the story. I went to visit my family in Christmas the last year. I was even in class and this finish in January, so that weekend was like anything and left very time to go to holidays. My dad had the idea of go to Popeta (a town near to a river) by the day; it was a quickly decision, because last hour someone to lend a car to us, so we (me and my mother) accepted the invitation. We dressed a bath suit and take a bag with cherries and a bottle with water, and go. Find a little road and we descend and go walking. We think river it was dry because don't saw it and in it place there are only rocks. We asking to an old man that passing by the place and said the river is a meters forward. Walking to there and listen the water running, and to another side of a trees we find the river. The day was beautiful (I love spring & summer :D), the view around was wonderful, the water is very clear, and the place it's very calm because there are nothing around to there, only some little houses and forest. I like this moment because I had so much work in the Faculty in these days and the Christmas was a date with very people, sound and stress in the city, then to be far of all in a quiet place, enjoy the nature, it was a simple and short but unforgettable moment with my family.

BBC

I enter to page without so much expect about it, but when I discovered the page have games I went to there quickly. I liked the puzzles although I don't hit to all the words, but it was a funny alternative to learn and remember some words I forget. But my favourite is the “Wordmaster”, is too a funny game and I really learn and game a long time. It's similar to the game "colgado", but this haven't a draw of a person burning meanwhile one say wrong letters. I dislike a sentence talk in this game: “Columbus is the first discovered of tobacco in America”, what is this? The tobacco is discovered and known so much time before Columbus born. If they don't knew our cultures not means America was Unknown Dimension lost in the Nothing. Well, coming to the theme, I made some quizzes, my favourite is of food. I think this page is a good choice to learn english because have useful and funny tools and is easy to use.

Hi, my name is Nicole Sotelo. I'm new in the class, be nice with me :3
I'm not from Santiago, my home is in Rosario (near to Rengo, on the VI region), but I live in center of Santiago for the moment.

I came to the capital to study Theatrical Design at Universidad de Chile. This consists in design of stages, costumes, makeup, lighting, and others for the theater, but too we can to design art of a movie or another kind of shows or anything of our interesting :)

I like to draw, listen music, comic, movies and delicious food.

My MP4 player

In a begin I thought to write about my PC, because it's a part important in my work of design; it's a tool and it's a machine of funny too. I can watch movies, play games, view photos and images, speak with my friends and listen music.
I love it, but I choose to talk of my MP4 player.
This is a very significant object, because I bought after my another MP4 disappears mysteriously.
I bought with my last piece of salary of a work, and it cames with another MP4 of gift, that I gift to my father in Christmas. This was about 5 or 6 months.
I use my MP4 player all the days, in the way to University and come back to home. Sometimes I use when I have a test in class because I concentrate listening music.
I like to listen music everytime, because Santiago it´s a very loudly city, and I like listen music to be happy all the times. My first music player I got when I have about 10 years old, and was a personal stereo with cassette player.
I like it because haves 2GB memory and there are very songs. I like too because it´s portable and I can carry on to many places.
Maybe my ears die before than my body, but I´m very happy of listen music all the time in all the places!
